How to blend heritage and brand into a defining voice.
A new property was rising on Waikiki. It stands on the summer home of the last reigning monarch of Hawai’i. The hotel wanted to honor her story while establishing a new brand on Oahu.
The result? A tone and voice that reflected the warmth of Island hospitality.
Saying Aloha to a new property
The past and the present meet in Waikiki.
A property on Waikiki’s fabled Kalakaua Avenue was being reimagined. Inspired by the last reigning monarch of Hawai’i, Queen Lili’uokalani, the resort focuses on celebrating her love of music, art and culture. The destination envisioned providing visitors with an opportunity to connect with the true spirit of the Islands, while providing luxury and access to the best of Oahu.
Working with 300FeetOut, we spent time on property, while the hotel itself was still under construction. With hardhats and clipboards, we walked the site, spoke with the team and locals, and uncovered the unique experience that ‘Alohilani offers visitors, and translated that to their brand language.
The result is a defining destination that has a voice all its own.
